Battlefield 2142 Officially Announced

Fight an all-out war for survival in the year 2142. Electronic Arts and Sweden-based developer, Digital Illusions, today announced development of the next installment in the award winning Battlefield franchise, Battlefield 2142. The ground-breaking first-person shooter is scheduled to ship this fall for the PC.
Built on the same graphics engine as Battlefield 2 the big question seems to be, "Is this too little, too soon on EA's part?" Without the advent of a new engine the "advanced graphics" are going to be serverly limited compared to the jump EA made with BF2. So, is it another soon to be failed ploy for more $$, or is going to be OhSoRad? Only time will tell....
